Education

Etymologically, the word education is derived from educare (Latin) "bring up", which is related to educere "bring out", "bring forth what is within", "bring out potential" and ducere, "to lead".
(Wikipedia)

"Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation. "
John F. Kennedy, thirty-fifth President of the USA

"A good education should leave much to be desired."
Alan Gregg, Canadian political advisor

"What greater or better gift can we offer the republic than to teach and instruct our youth?"
Cicero, Roman philosopher

"To teach is to learn twice."
Joseph Joubert, French moralist

"Tell me and I'll forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I'll understand."
Native American saying
